Why puzzles help kids focus
Screen-free play builds patience, pattern recognition and confidence — here is what to look for by age.

Puzzles ask a child to hold an idea in mind while their hands test it. That loop builds patience and attention far better than a fast-moving screen.\n\nStart with 12-24 large pieces for toddlers, 60 wooden pieces around age four, and 120 paper pieces from age six. Sit beside them, sort by colour first, and let them place the final piece.
